CONNIE KEMPER in HAWAII = BGE CXIII
CONNIE KEMPER is a longtime friend of mine (and also a longtime fan of the podcast), and in January, pulled the big trigger and made the big leap o'er continent and 'cross ocean to the island paradise of Hawaii. However, it has not been all rainbows and surf breaks.
Connie is from South Korea, so Hawaii trends closer to her home soil, yet Connie has called DC home for most all of her life. Hawaii has been a homecoming of sorts, but not without growing pains. Connie and I talk about struggle, mental health, imposter syndrome, travel, family, making new friends in a new culture -- and begin with some fun facts about Hawaii -- truly a state unlike any other -- maybe the architects that be did, indeed, save the best state for last!!
